Mark Duebner

Baritone

Mark is a storyteller. He is a graphic designer, artist, stage director and scenic designer. After 52 years of winters in the Chicago suburbs, he moved to Palm Springs with his husband, Keith, in 2013. Right out of college, he did his first community theater show in 1983 (where Keith and he met) and spent the next 30 years performing and directing. Favorite roles include Che in Evita (twice), Stine in City of Angels and Reuben in Joseph and the Amazing… (three times). Some of the musicals he directed/designed: Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, The Most Happy Fella and The Secret Garden. Starting in 2000, he sang a total of 12 years with Windy City Gay Chorus and The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus. Since moving to the Desert, he has performed in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and The Addams Family, both with College of the Desert at the McCallum and sings with Modern Men: Coachella Valley Men’s Chorus.
